Top Himalayan Soap Benefits
Imagine a skincare routine that not only cleanses but also infuses your skin with nature’s purest minerals. Himalayan salt originates from the pristine Himalayan mountains and is renowned for its abundance of natural minerals.
Whether you’re struggling with dead, dry, or oily skin, here are some of the top Pink Himalayan Salt soap benefits you will love:
Excellent Exfoliator
This gentle buffing action uncovers the smooth, radiant skin beneath and promotes a refreshed complexion.
This mineral rich salt is especially beneficial for those of you dealing with oily skin, as it works to unclog pores and balance oil production.
If you use it regularly, one of the benefits of Himalayan soap is having smoother, softer skin!
Contains a Lot of Minerals
Did you know that Pink Himalayan Salt is packed with over 80 essential minerals? The most notable ones are magnesium and potassium.
These minerals are proven to help with your skin, from supporting hydration to overall skin health.
Magnesium works diligently to fight dryness, reducing scales and flakiness.
On the other hand, potassium keeps skin looking refreshed and plump by helping to maintain a healthy moisture balance.
By incorporating Himalayan salt soap into your routine, these nourishing minerals will help lead to a rejuvenated appearance and a radiant glow.
I also use Himalayan bath salts too and love it for all the added minerals!
Helps with the Detoxification Process
Another one of the Himalayan soap benefits for skin is that it plays a supportive role in the body’s detoxification process.
As you lather and rinse, the salt-infused soap can help draw out toxins and impurities lodged in the pores, leaving your skin refreshed and pure.
Hydrates Skin
Sometimes when I get out of the shower, I don’t even feel hydrated, but rather parched. However, when I use my melt and pour soap with Himalayan Salt, I feel so much more hydrated.
Packed with minerals like calcium and potassium, this soap bar doesn’t just cleanse; it replenishes moisture to your skin too.
The minerals absorb into your skin, effectively hydrating and locking in moisture. For those of you who have dry skin, this soap is a game changer!
Contains Antibacterial Properties
Pink Himalayan Salt also has antibacterial qualities that will keep your skin clean and safe.
As bacteria can exacerbate acne, regular use of this salt soap can help manage breakouts, one of the many Himalayan soap benefits for face.
Some people don’t prefer using salt on their face, so be sure to test it out and see if it is too harsh for you, or just right.
Improves Circulation
Massaging your skin with pink salt soap can do wonders for boosting blood flow. This gentle exfoliation stimulates circulation, providing a flush of nutrient-rich blood to your skin cells.
You’ll notice a more radiant glow each time you use this soap and is can help heal minor wounds when you have better circulation.
Balances pH Levels
You might be wondering how a bar of Himalayan salt soap can impact your skin’s pH level.
Your skin operates at its best when its pH is slightly acidic, around 5.5, which keeps the moisture in and the bad bacteria out. Swinging too far from this sweet spot can leave you open to dryness, irritation, and infection.
Here’s where Himalayan salt soap comes into play – it works to harmonize your skin’s pH levels. This brings your skin back to its optimal state where it’s less likely to flare up or feel uncomfortable.
It’s another one of the best Himalayan pink salt soap benefits!

Easy Himalayan Salt Soap Recipe
Now that you know all the Himalayan Salt soap benefits for skin, here is a super easy Himalayan Salt melt and pour soap recipe to make your own.
This recipe makes about 4 one inch soap bars if you use the same soap mold.
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ lb melt and pour soap base
- 2 tbsp fine Himalayan pink salt
- 1 tbsp coarsely ground Himalayan pink salt (ground from grinder)
- 4 inch silicone soap mold
- Soap cutter
- Essential oils (optional)
Instructions
Grind 1 tbsp of salt from the grinder. This will go on top of your soap.
Cut the soap base into 1 inch cubes and add them to the measuring cup.
Heat in the microwave on high for 30 seconds, remove and stir well. Continue heating in 30 second intervals, stirring after each heating session, until the soap base is completely melted.
Remove from the microwave, and allow to stand for 2 minutes.
Add the fine salt, and stir well. Continue stirring until the mixture starts to cool off and thicken a little bit.
You will be pouring this into the mold at a cooled off temperature, rather than hot, to allow the salt to stay mixed in the soap, rather than sink to the bottom.
This is what gives the colorful exfoliating chunks that you see within the soap bars. After pouring, your soap should be rocky or chunky at the top, rather than flat in the mold.
Immediately sprinkle the ground salt all over the top of the soap.
Allow the soap to set for about 3 hours, remove from the mold, then cut into 1 inch bars.
Tips and Tricks
- You can add in some essential oils. I love lavender or chamomile! Essential oils make it smell good and they also have more benefits for your skin.
- You can add just the finely ground salts, but I like adding both options to further exfoliate my body.
