DIY Calendula Soap Recipe
Now that you know all the benefits, here is how to make calendula soap! This makes around 5 to 6 soap bars if you use the same mold I did.
Ingredients
- 1lb glycerin melt and pour soap base
- ¼ cup calendula powder
- 20-25 drops essential oil
- Soap mold
Instructions
Cut up the melt and pour soap base into small squares.
Melt in the microwave on low heat for 30 seconds at a time. Stir in between until it is completely melted.
Add in your essential oils. Stir to mix.
Next, add in the calendula powder and stir thoroughly. Wait for it to cool for a bit so the calendula powder is mixed throughout the entire soap.
Then, pour into your mold. Wait a few hours or overnight until it is hard. Take out of your mold and enjoy!
Notes
- You can add essential oils if you want. Lavender is a great one for your skin and smells wonderful!
- If you don’t want the calendula powder in your final soap, another way you can do this is to infuse the soap base with calendula flowers on a double broiler for about an hour. Strain and then pour into the soap mold.
- You can use any soap mold you want. Check out these top soap molds.
