DIY Anti Aging Cream
This DIY anti aging cream is a rich, herbal blend to nourish and support maturing skin—naturally. It has given me such a nice glow, I had to share this easy natural recipe with you.
If you’re looking for a natural way to support your skin as it ages, this DIY anti-aging cream is a great place to start.
It’s made with herbs and whole ingredients that are known for their ability to soothe, hydrate, and protect the skin.
I’ve spent a lot of time testing different combinations of herbs, oils, and natural fats that actually make a difference—especially for fine lines, dullness, and dryness.
This blend is one I keep coming back to. It’s deeply moisturizing, gentle on sensitive skin, and full of antioxidants that support healthy skin aging without harsh chemicals.
I have my coffee eye cream which I love and my rose tallow face cream that I use at night. But something felt missing, so I want to create something that combined it all on busy days so I can get it all on my face with ease.
That’s when I created this face cream! It uses all my favorite ingredients all in one place so I can quickly lather it on and get to bed on days when I have a baby who wakes up during my nightly routine.
So I decided to share my DIY anti aging cream recipe with you all along with why I chose each ingredient as well.

Why This Blend Works
This recipe pulls together a handful of ingredients that all bring something unique to the table:
- Green tea – Packed with antioxidants and tannins that support skin elasticity and reduce puffiness.
- Coffee – Helps stimulate circulation and reduce the look of fine lines or tired skin.
- Rose petals – Add soothing, anti-inflammatory properties and a soft floral touch.
- Jojoba oil – A lightweight oil that mimics the skin’s natural sebum and helps with absorption.
- Shea butter + tallow – Deliver deep moisture and help repair the skin barrier.
- Arrowroot powder – Helps cut the greasy feel and gives a smoother, lighter finish.
These ingredients work together to deeply hydrate, soften, and protect the skin—while giving it a natural glow that is not greasy.

DIY Anti-Aging Cream Recipe
Here is my simple homemade face cream recipe that is perfect to keep your face looking youthful. It will make about 5-6 ounces.
Ingredients
- Green tea leaves
- Ground coffee
- Dried rose petals
- Jojoba oil (for infusion)
- ¼ cup infused oil (see steps below)
- 2 tablespoons shea butter
- ¼ cup rendered tallow (or learn how to make your own here)
- 1 tablespoon beeswax
- 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
- 10-15 drops essential oil (optional – I used 5 drops each of lavender, frankincense, and geranium)

Instructions
Add equal parts green tea, coffee grounds, and rose petals to a glass jar. Cover with jojoba oil. Let it sit for 2–4 weeks in a dark cabinet, shaking gently every few days. When ready, strain out the herbs.

In a double boiler, combine:
- ¼ cup infused oil
- 2 tbsp shea butter
- ¼ cup rendered tallow
- 1 tbsp beeswax
Heat gently until fully melted and combined.

Let the mixture cool for a few minutes. Then stir in 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder, mixing continuously to prevent clumping.

Add 10 drops of essential oil and stir well. Lavender, frankincense, and geranium are all great for mature skin, but use what you love or already have.

Pour into jars or containers. Once cooled and solidified, you can either leave it as-is or whip it up using a hand mixer for a lighter, whipped texture.

Storage + Notes
- Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
- Whipping the cream gives it a fluffier, more spreadable texture, but it works either way.
- If your home is warm, consider storing it in the fridge to help it stay firm.
- Want to customize it further? Try adding vitamin E oil or using calendula-infused oil for added skin support.

Apply a small amount to clean skin, either in the morning or before bed. A little goes a long way—just warm a bit between your fingertips and gently massage it into your face, neck, or anywhere you need hydration.
I personally love to use it at night. I lather a good layer on my face and when I wake up, my skin is so soft and looking healthy.
