Benefits of Rose Soap
Rose-infused soap has so many benefits for your skin, here are just a few of them:
- Moisturizing: Rose soap deeply hydrates and nourishes the skin, helping to retain moisture. It’s perfect for dry or sensitive skin, leaving it soft and supple after use.
- Calming Effects: The soothing rose scent promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances your overall bathing experience.
- Gentle Cleansing: Cleans the skin effectively without stripping natural oils, making it suitable for daily use and gentle on sensitive skin.
- Antioxidant Protection: Rich in antioxidants, rose soap protects your skin from free radical damage, helping prevent premature aging and keeping skin youthful.
- Anti-Inflammatory: Natural anti-inflammatory properties help soothe irritation, calm redness, and provide relief for conditions like eczema or sunburn.
- Pore-Tightening: Acts as an astringent, tightening pores and toning skin for a smoother, more refined look. Beneficial for oily or acne-prone skin types.
- Brightening: Regular use can even out skin tone, reducing the appearance of dark spots, blemishes, and hyperpigmentation for a radiant complexion for some people!

DIY Rose Soap Recipe
Here is how to make your own DIY Rose soap bars. If using the same mold as I did, this recipe gets about 12 soaps:
Ingredients
- 1 lb shea butter melt and pour soap base
- 26 drops rose essential oil
- 2 tbsp dried rose petals, crushed
- ½ tsp red mica powder
- Butterfly soap mold

Directions
Cut the soap base into 1 inch cubes, and add half of them (½ pound) to a microwave safe measuring cup.
Heat in the microwave on high for 30 second intervals, stirring between each heating session, until fully melted.
Add 13 drops of rose essential oil, and stir well.

Stir in 1 tablespoon of dried rose petals.

Pour into the molds, and allow to set for 1-2 hours, until hardened.
Repeat straps 1-3, then stir in the mica powder until you have a solid color.

Stir in 1 tablespoon of dried rose petals.
Pour into the molds, and allow to set for 1-2 hours, until hardened.

Unmold the soap bars.
Notes
- If you don’t want to pay for rose essential oil, since it is pretty expensive, try geranium. It is very similar to rose but a lot cheaper! Or try this Love Blend from Simply Earth; it smells HEAVENLY!
- Any soap mold will work. Check out some of my favorite soap molds!
- You don’t have to add in the rose petals. Sometimes that can lead to mold growth. You can try rose petal powder, or just omit them. I like to add 1 tablespoon of rose infused oil to get the benefits without the possibility of mold!
