To use essential oils in a melt and pour soap, simply add the drops at the very end of the process before pouring them into your molds.
How do you make melt and pour soap moisturizing?
Adding extra oils or butter can help moisturize your melt and pour soap, but adding too much will not allow your soap to set up properly. An aloe melt and pour soap base, or shea butter base are great for moisturizing your skin.
How much essential oil do I add to melt and pour soap?
This all depends on how much soap you are making. The standard is usually around 3% for fragrance in your soap. That usually equals around 15-20 drops of essential oil per pound.
