10 Christmas Roll On Perfume Blends

A few years ago, I remember slipping a tiny Christmas roll on perfume into my sister’s stocking. It was a blend of orange and cinnamon with just a hint of vanilla.

She rolled it on immediately, smiled, and said, “It smells like Christmas morning.”

That simple gift made with just a few drops of essential oil, turned into a sweet tradition. Now every December, I make new festive blends for friends, family, and of course, myself!

My kids also love smelling like “Christmas” as often as they can.

There’s something so grounding about creating your own perfumes. It gives you the power to choose what goes on your skin, and even more, to carry with you the scents that comfort and inspire you.

I decided to write out my top 10 Christmas roll on perfume blends for you to try too!

Why Make Your Own Perfume Blends?

Roll-on perfumes are one of the easiest DIYs to make, and they’re incredibly versatile.

Unlike commercial fragrances, which often contain synthetic chemicals, these blends are made with just two ingredients: a nourishing carrier oil and essential oils.

Not only do they smell lovely, but they can also support emotional wellness. Lavender and frankincense calm, sweet orange uplifts, peppermint invigorates. It’s aromatherapy you can take on the go!

Plus, these make beautiful handmade gifts, simple, heartfelt, and completely customizable.

Safety Notes Before You Begin

  • These recipes are designed at a 2% dilution rate, which is considered safe for most adults when used topically.
  • If you’re making these for kids, sensitive skin, or pregnant women, reduce the essential oil to 1% (about 2-3 drops per 10ml). You will also only want to use kid-safe essential oils!
  • Always do a patch test before using a new essential oil blend.

Basic Roll-On Perfume Recipe

For each 10ml roller bottle:

Instructions:

  1. Add the essential oil drops to your roller bottle.
  2. Fill the rest of the bottle with your carrier oil.
  3. Cap, shake gently, and it’s ready to use.

Pre-Made Christmas Essential Oil Blends

If you don’t want to mix together essential oils or plan on just buying some blends, these are my absolute favorite:

Tips for Gifting Your Blends

I love tucking these into stockings, gift baskets, or tying one to the top of a wrapped present with a ribbon.

Add a handwritten tag with the name of the blend and a little note like “for peace on busy days” or “a scent to brighten your morning.”

If you’re creating multiple, consider printing out or handwriting a mini scent guide to go with the set!

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re blending for yourself or for someone you love, these Christmas roll-on perfumes are a beautiful way to connect with the season’s energy.

They offer a moment of calm, a little joy, and the chance to slow down and breathe.
