Easy Bath Bomb Recipe

Here is one of the recipes from the bath bomb kit! I kind of mixed the two recipes into one since I love how the swirls look.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1 teaspoon SCI powder
  • 2 tablespoons Natrasorb bath powder
  • 2 teaspoon gold mica powder
  • 2 teaspoon blue mica powder
  • 2 teaspoon almond oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon castile soap
  • 18 drops sweet dreams essential oil
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon water (+plus more if needed)

Instructions:

Mix your dry ingredients (SCI powder, citric acid, Natrasorb bath powder, baking soda, and cornstarch).

making the bath bomb mixture

In another bowl, mix the almond oil, castile soap, water, and essential oils.

adding in the essential oil

Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing the entire time. Go slow, if you go too fast it will bubble up!

Mix with your hands until it feels like damp sand. If it forms a ball in your hand, that is good enough. If not, slowly add a bit of water until it does.

the bath bomb mixture

Divide into two bowls. Add the blue and gold to each separate bowl and mix until you get your desired color.

Layer the colors on top of each other in the mold. When the mold is full, take a toothpick or back of a spoon and swirl it together a bit.

Then put the two bath bomb pieces together and squish until combined.

pushing the bath bomb molds together

Slowly take the bath bomb mold off and let your bath bombs dry out for at least 24 hours, or until they are fully hard.

You’ll end up with gorgeous, fizzy bath bombs that smell amazing and leave your skin feeling soft and pampered.

Notes:

  • As you can see from the pictures, I added a bit too much almond oil into my mixture which made the bottom of my mold squish at the bottom. It still worked totally fine, just wasn’t a “perfect” circle.
  • After making the first bath bomb, I noticed they were HUGE! So I only did half circle bath bombs for the rest, so that’s why you can see a big line through them. Yours won’t look like mine, they will look so much better!
  • You can use infused oils. A lavender infused oil will be amazing!
