Benefits of Eucalyptus Baths

Here are some of the amazing benefits you can get from taking a bath with eucalyptus:

Respiratory Health

Eucalyptus is renowned for its potent decongestant properties. Inhaling the steam from a eucalyptus-infused bath can help clear the nasal passages and relieve sinus congestion.

This makes it particularly beneficial during cold and flu season, or for those suffering from allergies.

Muscle Relief

After a strenuous workout or a long day of physical activity, a eucalyptus bath can provide much-needed muscle relief.

Additionally, the warm water aids in increasing blood circulation, which helps in relaxing tense muscles and reducing pain.

This is one of my favorite benefits of eucalyptus in my bath!

Notes

  • If you want this recipe to be kid safe, don’t use eucalyptus essential oil in the recipe. You can add a drop or two of lavender essential oil, but you can also just omit it all together.
  • You will want to use a little bag to keep all the eucalyptus leaves together to help avoid a mess when you add to your bath. Makes clean up so much easier!

How to Use

Use 2 Tablespoons in each bath and enjoy!

For maximum benefits, soak in your eucalyptus bath for at least 20 minutes. Ensure the water is warm, but not too hot, ideally around 100°F (38°C).

This temperature helps to relax muscles and open pores without causing excessive dryness or irritation.
