What is a Flu Bomb?
A flu bomb is a natural cold remedy that combines various immune-boosting ingredients to provide relief from flu symptoms and support the body’s defenses against the virus.
It is considered a “bomb” because, like bath bombs, it will instantly melt into your hot water and become a tea.
By incorporating specific ingredients known for their immune-strengthening and antiviral properties, this cold and flu remedy drink offers a potent combination to help combat the flu effectively.

How to Make Tea Bombs
Here is exactly how to make this tea bomb to help support your body during the flu! Following this recipe, it will make about 4 to 6 bombs.
Flu Bomb Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons elderberries
- 1 tablespoon chamomile
- 1 tablespoon lavender
- 1 tablespoon marshmallow root
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
- 2 cups water
- Circle ice mold
- 2 glass jars
- Raw honey (optional)
Instructions

- Pour the liquid into the silicone mold and put it in the freezer. Let sit overnight or until solid.
- Take out the tea bomb and pour hot water over it and enjoy a nice cup of tea! You may want to add raw honey for it’s added benefits and to help sweeten your cold and flu tea.
Notes
- You can substitute the herbs for other powerful herbs for colds and the flu.
- You may want to add some honey to your tea for flavor and to help a sore throat. There are mixed studies on the effectiveness of heating honey, so I put it in afterward. Try some lavender, ginger, or rose infused honey!
